Polynucleotides are taking the aesthetics world by storm.
And rightly so, with over 90 clinical studies proving their effectiveness, they have become the leading treatment for regenerative aesthetics. Polynucleotides are not fillers, so they won’t add volume to your face or body. Polynucleotides are instead the building blocks of DNA and RNA.
At Kate Hume Aesthetics, the premium brand AMEELA® is used. AMEELA® has featured in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Glamour amongst others and is only available to medical professionals.
AMEELA® products are filtered and highly-purified salmon polynucleotides, which - when injected into the skin - initiate your body’s natural fibroblast and osteoblast production. This results in a thicker dermis (skin), increased collagen & elastin, and a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles. Thanks to AMEELA®’s anti-inflammatory properties, inflammation and redness is also reduced.

AMEELA® can be used on the face, under eyes, neck, décolleté, hands, scalp, knees… basically anywhere you have skin.
Does it hurt?
Sometimes. But don’t worry, depending on the treatment area(s), a topical local anaesthetic cream can be applied. Most people tolerate it very well without anaesthetic.
How many sessions will I need?
The average treatment plan is 2-3 sessions, spaced 2-4 weeks apart. You will then need to have maintenance treatments every 9 months.
When will I see results?
There is usually an immediate lifting effect with AMEELA®. To see the full results, you need to wait 30-60 days after your treatment plan has been completed. However, many people can already see an improvement after their first session.

Who can have AMEELA®?
Anyone over the age of 18 can have AMEELA® treatments, except those who are pregnant, breastfeeding or allergic to fish.
