Excessive Sweating (Hyperhidrosis)

Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) can be embarrassing and debilitating.

Botulinum Toxin can be injected to the armpits, palms of the hands or soles of the feet to block the nerve pathways that cause sweating.

The treatment takes around 30 mins and is considered very safe with no downtime.

Results can be seen after 1-2 weeks and the effects last roughly 6 months.

HOW DOES BOTOX FOR HYPERHIDROSIS WORK?

Botox for excessive sweating works by blocking the nerves in the affected areas. For many people, this can be the underarms, hands, feet, or face. The Botox prevents the nerves from sending sweat messages to the glands in the skin, and this stops them from producing sweat.

If you have tried a hyperhidrosis natural treatment with no success, this excessive sweating treatment will help.

HOW IS HYPERHIDROSIS TREATMENT PERFORMED?

At your hyperhidrosis treatment appointment, we start by applying an anaesthetic cream to the armpit area, although many patients do not need this. Next, the surrounding skin is medically cleansed with an antiseptic solution. Finally, I use a small needle to inject the Botulinum toxin (Botox) into a number of areas.
